How do I get an API key?
Sign up with your email, enter the one-time verification code we send you, and your API key is issued instantly — you'll find it on your dashboard.
How do I make my first request?
Call the ObjectDetection endpoint with three values: Image_url (a public image URL), your Api_key, and GA (the region). You get the plate, make and model and bounding boxes back as JSON. The Quickstart in our docs has ready-to-run examples.
Why does my image URL return no result?
The engine has to download the image, so the URL must be publicly reachable. Some hosts block hot-linking — if that happens, send the file to our free upload endpoint and use the URL it returns instead.
What image quality gives the best results?
Use a sharp, well-lit image where the plate is clearly visible and not too small or steeply angled. JPG, PNG and WebP are supported; very low-resolution, blurry or heavily skewed plates reduce accuracy.
What do the error fields in the response mean?
Each recognition stage reports its own error if it fails — for example a plate-finding error when no plate is located, or an OCR error when the characters can't be read. The full list and their meanings are in the API documentation.

Images submitted by URL are processed transiently for inference and not retained. Files sent to our upload helper are automatically deleted within 24 hours.
